The Journalism major prepares you for a career in convergent media, learning to communicate news using multiple mediums across different audience platforms. Both in the classroom and through co-curricular media involvement, you will practice hands-on reporting skills in writing, audio, video, photography, and web.

Experiencing journalism in all forms of reporting and production prepares our graduates for the ever-changing media landscape and for successful careers in traditional and non-traditional media.
Our students can begin work in media and communication fields immediately after graduation or advance to graduate school programs to specialize in advanced theory or practice.
