Welcome New Educators
New Educators

As the 2024-2025 academic year began, Muskingum University welcomed new faculty and staff educators to its community. The University also congratulated continuing community members who have accepted new educational roles.

New faculty members are Assistant Professor of Education Lisa Weisgarber-Trigg and Visiting Assistant Professor of Chemistry Yasmine Elshoweikh.

Robert Sharp has been promoted to Professor of Philosophy, Corey Brady has been promoted to Assistant Professor of Nutrition, and Kimberly Shegog has been promoted to Assistant Professor of Writing.

Associate Professor of Education and History Keith Eberly is now also serving as Director of the Educator Preparation Program. Additional continuing faculty members in new roles include Associate Professor of Occupational Therapy Rachel Milliner, Assistant Professor of Mathematics Bay Bryan, and Visiting Assistant Professor of Education Sharon Price.

Tiffany Herder joined Muskingum as the new Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning and Danielle Davis ’00 has been promoted to Director of the Center for Child Development.

In the Music Department, Eunji Baik is the new Collaborative Pianist and Austin Spillman is serving as Artist Affiliate in Saxophone. Karen Kiggans is the new Nursing Laboratory Coordinator.

Lyndsay Carr '06G has been promoted to Executive Director of Disability Resource Services. Kelly Bergeson is now serving as the PLUS Connections Coordinator, Katrina Buchanan as the PLUS Strong Start Coordinator, and Kelli Marsh as a Structured Study Learning Consultant.

In Student Life, Kelley Rutherford ’14 is now serving as Assistant Director of Student Engagement. Tyler Rovnak '24 is an Area Coordinator and Lexi Huston '20 is a Graduate Assistant in Student Engagement.

David McDonald '23 has been promoted to Coordinator of Cultural Engagement and Inclusion and Quinten Collins ’24 is serving as a Graduate Assistant in Cultural Engagement and Inclusion.

The Admission Office welcomed new Campus Experience Coordinator Kara McIntire ’19, Admission Counselor Alex Burton ’24, and Financial Aid Counselor Emmah Stoneburner ’24Amy Durben joined the Business Office as Student Accounts Coordinator and Richard Parrington is the Administrative Coordinator for Graduate Studies.

In Institutional Advancement, Dani Crown Jadwin ’15 was promoted to Director of Engagement and Operations and Diane Newsom was promoted to Assistant Director of Operations.

Athletics welcomed new Head Esports Coach Jake Arno, new Head Women’s Basketball Coach Alison McCarthy, and new Head Athletic Trainer Anna Smith.

New Assistant Coaches are Aaron Johnston '23 in Cross Country and Track & Field, Justin Brown in Esports, Douglas Crawford '24 in Football, Walker Litke in Men’s Lacrosse, Kaitlyn Stufft in Softball, Nandy Lukusa Jr. in Women’s Basketball, Raiyah Johnson '23 in Women’s Lacrosse, and Alaina Tharp '16 in Spirit Squad.

Monique Reil '23 is a new Graduate Assistant in Athletics Facilities and Recreation.
