OMEGA holds meeting at Muskingum UniversityThe Ohio Mid-Eastern Governments Association (OMEGA) held an executive board meeting on Muskingum University's campus Tuesday, August 20.
U.S. Representatives Troy Balderson (R-OH) and Bill Johnson (R-OH), District Senator Tim Schaffer (R-OH), and Treasurer Robert Sprague (R-OH) attended the meeting as guests. In addition to a variety of leaders, Matt Abbott '05, director of the Muskingum County Port Authority; Phil Laube, Muskingum University vice president for finance and operations; and New Concord Mayor Brett Essex were in attendance.
OMEGA is a collaborative body of member governments that serves as a facilitator between state and federal government agencies and local entities to provide opportunities in economic and community development through networking, education, planning, research, and allocation of resources. OMEGA serves Belmont, Carroll, Columbiana, Coshocton, Guernsey, Harrison, Holmes, Jefferson, Muskingum, & Tuscarawas counties.
