Students engage with Neiman Exhibit through creative writing
Action! in Words and Images: Creative Responses to LeRoy Neiman’s Works is a supplementary publication to Muskingum’s literary magazine First Circle, which published the original work of Muskingum students and community members.
Students from majors across the campus contributed 19 original poems and 6 original artworks to Action! in Words and Images. Their creative work developed from their engagement with the LeRoy Neiman works on exhibit at Muskingum from January 22 through April 14, 2018 in Action! An Exhibition of LeRoy Neiman’s Champions.
The selection of student work was edited by juniors Elita Jones and Nik Leasure, and freshman Jillian Taylor, under the instruction of Dr. Jane Varley, Professor of English.
