November 19 Voluntary PCR Testing Program Q&A’s
Who may participate in the program?
Any Muskingum University students and employees (including adjunct instructors) who do not have symptoms of COVID-19.
Where will the testing be located?
The Steele Recreation Center Gym
What are the hours?
Testing begins at 9:30 a.m. You must sign up for a particular time slot.
How do I sign up?
Registration instructions have been emailed to all students and employees. If you did not receive the instructions or need another copy, please contact Holly Gleason at hgleason@muskingum.edu immediately.
What is the deadline for signing up?
12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 18. Do it now!
What if I forget to sign up?
A limited number of walk-in appointments will be available after 11:00 a.m. You will still need to complete registration and bring the required documentation to the testing site.
What should I bring on the day of testing?
You must bring the following:
- Your completed and printed Mako Medical registration form
- Your completed and printed Close Contacts form
- A photo ID, such as driver’s license, state ID, or campus ID
Will I have a “pre-existing condition” if I receive a positive COVID-19 test?
At this time, insurers are prevented from denying coverage based on pre-existing conditions.
What else do I need to know?
- You are strongly encouraged to limit your personal contact with others for 48 hours prior to testing and until your test results are returned to you.
- If you test positive or are in contact with someone who does, you may stay on campus or go home for isolation/quarantine. You need to decide this ahead of time!
- If you choose to return home, you will not be able to use public transportation, and you will need to follow health department protocols if you choose to return home.
