Bio

Thomas McGrath earned his Ph.D. in Modern Chinese History from Cornell University. He has published articles related to Warlordism in Yunnan Province in the 1920s and 1930s and is currently researching the training, development and combat experiences of the Chinese Army in India in the China-Burma-India Theater during the Second World War. He teaches courses on China, Japan, and Southeast Asia as well as the Second World War. He has been co-leading American Civil War study tours with Dr. William Kerrigan for over fifteen years.
