Our Health Education program prepares you to assist individuals in the maintenance and improvement of their health. Major courses will focus on the physical, psychological, social, intellectual, and environmental components of health. You will gain professional educational skills to help people achieve attitude and behavior changes leading to better health.
Within this major, you have the option to earn your multi-age health education license from the State of Ohio, preparing you to become a teacher-leader who encourages, equips, and empowers students ages 3-21.
Muskingum’s program has CAEP Accreditation – the education profession’s “seal of approval” – which signifies that we meet or exceed the national professional standards for the preparation of teachers and other school specialists, and that our up-to-date, relevant, and research-based educational experience will prepare you well for teacher licensing examinations.
