Guest-editing (with Drew Foxall, Queen's University Belfast) special issue of Problems of Post-Communism for the Sochi Winter Olympics 2014;

With scholars from George Washington, Harvard, and William & Mary involved in a project to measure regional separatism in the Russian Federation;

Book project, chapters:

- Unequal Treatment: Meskhetian Turks in Krasnodar Krai and Rostov Oblast- project comparing why Meskhetian Turks in Krasnodar Krai were targeted for ethnic violence but not those in Rostov;

-  Explaining Mass Action: The Race Riots in Kondopoga (2006), Stavropol (2007), and Moscow (2010) compared.
