2001 SCIENCE ODYSSEY
Each spring the Science Division sponsors a program honoring the sciences. Sigma Xi participates by hosting The Student Research Colloquium and by presenting the Keynote speaker. This year's speaker will be:

Dr. Michael Torello, Associate Professor of Psychology, Capital University

    "New Techniques to Visualize and Interact with the Brain"

(The Poster Session will be held in the BSC atrium immediately following the keynote address.)



1997's speaker was John T. Cacioppo, OSU social psychologist. His talk was titled: Social Neuroscience: Autonomic, Neuroendocrine, and Immune Response to stress

1998's speaker was: Dr. Ralph J. Cicerone, Atmospheric Chemist from The University of California, Irvine. He presented research that examined the hole in earth's ozone layer and its effects on life and climate.

1999's speaker was Vera Pless. She received her Ph.D. in mathematics from Northwestern University and spoke about Changing Technology, Changing Mathematics

2000's speaker was Dr. Brian Armitage, Director of the Ohio Biology Survey & Associate Professor of Zoology, The Ohio State University who spoke about Biodiversity Initiatives: Problems and Possibilities
