News from Muskingum

Dear Phi Kappa Tau Parents & Supporters,

As the fall semester begins to unravel, with the changing of seasons, the men of Phi Kappa Tau are hard at work. With the leaves beginning to change and the weather dropping it reminds us that it is football season. The brothers are preparing to participate in our most important philanthropy of the year, Cannonball Run. Cannonball Run takes place during the last Muskingum College football game November 16th. Before the game the all of the Phi Tau brothers takes turns running the game ball from the opponents field back to Muskingum College in order to raise money from sponsors for our National Philanthropy, the Hole in the Wall Gang.

The Hole in the Wall Gang was established by our famous alumnus, Paul Newman in 1943. These camps were established to give children who face chronic illnesses the chance to enjoy a normal summer camp experience at no cost to their families. There are currently five HITWG camps in the United States and two located in Europe and there are two more under construction. Our chapter is currently ranked 25th out of 90 chapters located in 33 states across the U. S. in contributions overall in raising money for the Hole in the Wall Gang. This year we are asking you, our supporters for a ten-dollar donation to achieve our goal of $500 this year. With a ten dollar donation, you are not only helping terminally ill youth, but your name will be displayed on the back of our promotional shirt as well as our national web site. The men of Phi Kappa Tau would like to thank you for your undying support.
