ELECTIVES:  121, 122 (Anatomy & Physiology I, II; both these courses may be counted towards the major); 213 (Functional Histology); 221 (Vascular Plant Systematics); 232 (Vertebrate Natural History);  304 (Evolution); 312 (Microbiology); 321 (Advanced Botany); 346 (Pathophysiology); 368 (Advanced Neuroscience); 373 (Comparative Vertebrate Anatomy); 375 (Molecular Biology); 421-422 (Biological Research); Conservation Science 331; Neuroscience 386.  In addition, one course may be selected from Environmental Science 121, 421; Molecular Biology 211, 411; Conservation Science 231, 431; or Neuroscience 201.  LAE issues courses (the 105 group) count as two credit hours toward the major.

Note: If you choose to do biological research (421-422), biology 420 (senior seminar) must be completed during the spring semester of your junior year.

Minor (19 hours)

Requirements: 111, 112, 107 (twice), 226 and a minimum of eight additional credit hours from courses at the 200 level or higher.  Only biology courses will count for the minor.

Teacher Licensure - life sciences or integrated science, grades 7-12. Contact the education department for specific course requirements.
