Muskies hit the course at the All-Ohio Championships
NEW CONCORD, OHIO, October 10, 2008 - The Muskingum College cross country teams competed at the All-Ohio Championships Friday at Ohio Wesleyan University. The Muskie men placed 19th in the field, while the Muskie women finished 18th.
Leading the men was freshman Michael Besl who registered a time of 30:11.8. Junior Ian Hankins and freshman Jeff Shawver completed the run with times of 30:24.7 and 32:09.1, respectively. Rounding out the Muskie scoring were freshman Peter Craig and junior JP Rousseau. Craig logged a time of 35:36.3 and Rousseau registered a time of 38:38.1.
On the women's side, sophomore Katie Smith paced the squad with a time of 23:18.4. Freshman Jennifer Drennon and senior Lauren Jackson ended the race with times of 24:15.8 and 24:25.1, respectively. Freshman Bethany Dulaney and sophomore Hallie Nesselroad completed the scoring for the Fish. Dulaney tallied a time of 24:53.1 and Nesselroad posted a time of 25:28.5.
Case Western University claimed the men's team title with a score of 52 points, while Case also claimed the women's title with 35 points.
The Muskies will hit the trails next at the Wilmington College Fall Classic on Friday, October 17.
