Muskingum College once again named to "Best National Liberal Arts Colleges" list

AUGUST 25, 2003 - Muskingum College was once again named in the "best national liberal arts colleges" rankings released today by U.S. News & World Report. The listing will appear in the 2003 edition of the guidebook, America's Best Colleges, which will be on newsstands August 25. This marks the third year that Muskingum has been named to the list of national colleges. Prior to 2001, Muskingum had been listed in the midwest regional classification of colleges.

"With more than 4,000 institutions of higher learning in America, we are particularly pleased to be named among the country's 214 best liberal arts colleges," said Muskingum College President Anne C. Steele. "The college continues to be named to this select list of prestigious institutions because of the quality of the education offered at Muskingum," she added.

Muskingum College is a four-year liberal arts college affiliated with the Presbyterian Church (USA). Muskingum offers a full range of academic majors along with interdisciplinary and pre-professional programs and graduate studies in education. Muskingum recently announced a new master of arts in teaching degree. Work is underway for a new state-of-the-art communication arts and theatre complex which will unite Muskingum's communication-related programs under a single roof.
