The Encyclopedia of Religion (REF BL 31 .E46 2005)
Extensive fifteen-volume encyclopedia covering many topics, terms, and people related to the many religions of the world. Updated from the first edition published in 1987, it contains over 1,000 new articles.
Encyclopedia of Religion and Society
This web based encyclopedia contains articles that look at the intersection of religion and society. Although more heavily oriented toward North America, the scope is global, and an effort has been made to address the major traditions of world religious experience.

Versions of the Bible
The Bible Gateway is a tool for reading and researching scripture online. It provides advanced searching capabilities to find and compare particular passages in scripture based on keywords, phrases, or scripture reference. Contains over twenty English translations of scripture and numerous texts in other languages.

The New Interpreter’s Bible (REF BS491.2 .N484 1994)
Multi-volume resource containing the biblical text with commentary. Also contains introductions for each biblical book as well as an outline of the book and a bibliography.
Strongest Strong's Exhaustive Concordance (REF BS425 .S8 2003)
An exhaustive concordance to the KJV Bible, includes the most up-to-date Hebrew and Greek dictionaries for precise word studies.

To access books from 86 Ohio libraries, try the OhioLINK catalog. You have access to over 47 million books through OhioLINK - remember to leave 2-3 days for delivery. You request OhioLINK books by using the 14 digit barcode number on the back of your Muskingum ID.

Electronic Book Center
Over 500 books on religion are available full-text through OhioLINK. To browse, choose 'religion' from the left menu, or you can do a keyword search through the full-text of all 15,000 books in the EBC. For better results, choose 'advanced search' and then enter 'religion' in the 'limit to subject area' field. Add your keywords in the 'find words in text' field.

More than 270 full text books from Oxford University Press cover various aspects of religion. Use the quicksearch to search for your topic, or the bibliography search to search for a specific book. You can also browse a list of all available religion books. Many of these are also available in the EBC (Electronic Book Center).
