Head Wrestling Coach– Muskingum University

Muskingum University is now accepting applications for a full-time (10 month position) Head Wrestling Coach within the Department of Athletics. This position is responsible to develop and maintain a quality competitive Wrestling program within the philosophy of Muskingum University and the NCAA Division III structure, plus follow the Ohio Athletic Conference guidelines. The position begins August 1, 2014.

Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree is required, Master's Degree preferred in Health, Physical Education or a related field. The candidate must have competent knowledge and experience in coaching and recruiting the Division III student-athlete and possess a strong background and knowledge with the sport of wrestling. Must also have knowledge of NCAA and Ohio Athletic Conference rules.

Director of Residence Life – Muskingum University

Muskingum University is now accepting applications for a full-time (12 month position) Director of Residence Life. This position serves as a primary professional contact for students who live in the residential facilities (halls, townhouses, Lakeside houses) on campus. Act as an integral member of the Student Affairs team that provides a program designed to support and enhance student success.

Responsibilities include overall coordination and management of residence hall facilities and other housing facilities within the resident life program; supervise and evaluate three professional Area Coordinators and the Housing Coordinator; responsible for coordination of housing assignments for all students; coordinate Residence Life budget; hold weekly meetings with Area Coordinators; develop and implement Area Coordinator training.

Qualifications: Master's degree in Counseling, Student Personnel or related field. Candidate must have two years of professional experience in residence life, desire to serve as a generalist in Student Affairs and understanding of small, liberal arts residential campus preferred. Must be a team player and interact collegially with co-workers and other constituencies. Weekend and evening work are vital to the success of this position.

Compensation includes furnished house including local phone service, campus cable and wi-fi and electricity. Washer and dryer units provided in house.

Student Life Coordinator – Muskingum University

Muskingum University is now accepting applications for a full-time (12 month position) Student Life Coordinator. Will live in and manage an on-campus residential facility. Act as an integral member of the Division of Student Affairs providing programs designed to support and enhance student success. Essential duties will include supervise, evaluate and support residential area paraprofessional staff and assist in recruitment, selection and training for these personnel; facilitate positive community development in residential area and create professional presence therein, know area residents and their issues/needs, and maintain availability/accessibility in the residence halls and in the main Student Life Office.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree in Higher Education or related field preferred. Understanding of small, liberal arts, residential campus preferred. Must be a team player and interact collegially with co-workers and other constituencies. Experience with student activities and contractual agreements is a plus.

Compensation includes furnished one bedroom apartment including local phone service, campus cable and internet services, and electricity. Washer and dryer units provided in apartments.

Assistant Athletic Trainer – Muskingum University

Muskingum University is now accepting applications for a full-time (10 month position) Assistant Athletic Trainer within the Department of Athletics. The position would also be a faculty appointment at the Instructor or Assistant Professor level in a brand new Athletic Training program pursuing CAATE accreditation. The successful candidate is responsible for coverage of practices and events, including travel, of assigned teams, assisting with the coverage of the athletic training room, assisting with the supervision of a student staff, rehabilitation of injured athletes, and record keeping. The position also includes serving as a Preceptor for Athletic Training students and teaching courses in the Athletic Training Program that is housed in the Health Science Department. Additional duties may be assigned by the Director of Athletics, Program Director and/or Department Chair. Salary commensurate with experience; benefits included. The position begins August 1, 2014.

Qualifications: A Master's degree is required. Preference will be given to a graduate degree in Athletic Training. The candidate must be BOC certified and eligible for or in possession of a license to practice Athletic Training in Ohio.

Graduate Assistant in Athletics - Athletic Training– Muskingum University

Muskingum University is now accepting applications for a Graduate Assistant in the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics for a Graduate Assistant in Athletic Training. As the Graduate Assistant in Athletic Training, the successful candidate is responsible for assigned team coverage, and all injury management including rehabilitation of assigned athletes. Additional duties include assisting with Athletic Training Room coverage, coordinating off-campus referrals, and maintenance of all appropriate documentation. Staff members will also supervise the Athletic Training students assigned to them as a ATP Preceptor. Requirements include BA / BS Degree, NATA-BOC Certification, and have a valid Ohio license in Athletic Training by August 1, 2014. Candidates should be able to display the ability to work independently, have strong clinical skills, show appropriate initiative, have a strong professional work ethic, and have the ability to work effectively with colleagues, medical personnel, coaches, and student-athletes.

Compensation includes housing, full graduate school tuition remission at Muskingum University, a full meal plan when the food service is open, and a stipend of $6,000.00. This is a ten-month appointment. The employed Graduate Assistant will be issued a one-year contract renewable thru completion of the degree being pursued.

Graduate Assistant in Athletics - Football– Muskingum University

Muskingum University is now accepting applications for a Graduate Assistant in the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics for a Graduate Assistant in Football. As the Graduate Assistant in Football, the successful candidate is responsible for serving as an assistant football coach to aid the head coach in all designated areas. Will also serve as the winter sport game manager to assist the Director of Athletics and various head coaches in home game administrative responsibilities. Requirements include BA / BS Degree, preferably in education and acceptance into Muskingum University Graduate Program. Candidates should possess strong collegiate background in football, knowledge of digital editing systems, good organization and management skills, operate under the philosophy and rules of the OAC and NCAA.

Compensation includes housing, full graduate school tuition remission at Muskingum University, a full meal plan when the food service is open, and a stipend of $6,000.00. This is a ten-month appointment. The Graduate Assistant will be issued a one-year contract renewable thru completion of the degree being pursued.
