Summer Term offers educational opportunities to graduate and undergraduate students

Muskingum University’s Summer Term class schedule offers college and adult students an opportunity to accelerate progress on their degree work and teachers the chance to renew a license, earn a valuable endorsement or work on a master’s degree.

Summer classes will be offered in one-week, five-week and 10-week sessions with both graduate and undergraduate courses available.    The one-week seminars allow students to earn three hours of credit on a Monday through Friday schedule.  A total of six one-week seminars will be offered in June and July.

The summer schedule can be particularly valuable to teachers who need to renew their license or add an endorsement with the hours counting toward a master’s degree.   Three teaching endorsements are being offered, each of which can be completed this summer.  Those are:

Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), which is open to teachers in all licensure areas and to individuals who want to teach English as a foreign language in business, private schools, government and other vocations.

Middle Childhood Generalist, which allows a teacher with a middle school license to add additional content areas by taking just two classes.

Early Childhood Generalist allows a Pre-K – 3 licensed teacher to expand qualifications to teach grades 4 and 5.

For course information and how to enroll, call the Office of Graduate and Continuing Studies at 740-826-8038 or click here. Summer Term begins June 6th.
