Speech team hosts OFA Teaching Tournament, two students qualify for national tournament
The Muskingum College speech team recently hosted the Ohio Forensics Association (OFA) Teaching Tournament, where several Muskingum students received high rankings and two qualified for the national tournament. The state-wide tournament is one of only three such competitions held each academic year.
Representing the Muskingum College team were Kristine Snyder '10, Rachel Thompson '10, Rebecca Cross '10 and Kevin Triskett '08. Triskett won first place in impromptu speaking and Cross took second place in after dinner speaking. Both students have now qualified for those events in the National Forensics Association tournament set for next April in Rome, Georgia.
As a team, Muskingum earned second place in the President’s division team sweepstakes award from the 2006 state season.
