Muskingum senior plays in Aztec Bowl
Senior defensive end Brandon Clum traveled to Cancun, Mexico to represent Muskingum College, Division III football and the United States of America in the 2004 Aztec Bowl. Brandon was selected as one of only 44 student-athletes across our nation to play in the 2004 Aztec Bowl.
In this annual contest between Division III standouts and Mexican football all-stars, Brandon and his teammates triumphed, beating their opponent 23-3. Selections were made by the American Football Coaches Association on the basis of athletic achievements and academic talents. Brandon, a 6'4", 275-pound defensive end, was a leader on the Muskingum defense and an All-Ohio Athletic Conference honoree.
In the classroom, Brandon majors in middle childhood education. He is a repeat member of the Dean's List.
During the Aztec Bowl, Brandon played well, helping cement the American victory. Coach Heacock concluded, "Brandon represented our football program and Muskingum College in a tremendous fashion." Brandon joins former center, Jim Kornokovich '01 (a 2000 Aztec Bowl athlete), as the Muskingum College representatives to this prestigious competition.
