MAT: Middle Childhood
The theme for all Muskingum College teacher education programs is “Developing teacher-leaders who encourage, equip and empower all students.” MAT initial licensure programs are designed to prepare graduates to successfully demonstrate competence on PRAXIS III, the State of Ohio’s entry-year teacher performance assessment.
Middle Childhood Education (51 credit hours) prepares individuals to teach children grades 4-9) in two of the following content areas: math, science, language arts and reading, and social studies.
