Undergraduate Scholarships & Awards of Circumstance
Academic Scholarships
Muskingum College offers academic scholarships to qualified students as part of the overall financial aid program. All applicants for admission are automatically reviewed at the time of acceptance for academic awards on the basis of the secondary school record (grade-point average in academic courses, class rank, strength of curriculum) and standardized test results. Each year a small number of entering students are selected for the prestigious John Glenn Scholarship - a full-tuition award.
The Academic Scholarship Chart depicts baseline awards for entering first-year students before enhancements.
Academic Scholarships
Available to entering students in 2008-09
- John Glenn Scholarships: Full-tuition
- Presidential Scholarships: $10,000 to $15,000 per year
- Faculty Scholarships: $6,000 to $9,500 per year
- Science Division Scholarships: $1,000 to $2,000 per year
Initial scholarship amount may be enhanced through performance in Scholarship Days, an on-campus scholarship program held in February of a student's senior year in high school. These enhancements are typically $500 or $1,000 per year above the base scholarship level, though some may be larger. Students must take part in the scholarship program to be considered for the John Glenn Scholarship. Click here for more details on Scholarship Days.
