Muskies run at Great Lakes Regional
NEW CONCORD, OHIO, November 10, 2007 - The Muskingum College men's and women's cross country teams made the trek to Calvin College to take part in the Great Lakes Regional.
For the men, it was senior J.D. Walters leading the way as he placed 49th overall in the crowded field with a time of 26:10.50.
Rounding out the next three Muskie finishers were sophomore Ian Hankins (28:34.00), senior Justin Metzger (28:47.65), and senior Tom Aluise (28:57.00).
The Muskie men did not finish with a team score as they had less than five finishers.
For the women, it was freshman Brooke Canfield leading the way with a 113th place finish in a packed field of runners with a time of 24:44.80. Next among the Muskie runners was senior Melissa Kollman who finished at 25:30.45.
Rounding out the top five for the Muskie women were freshman Jessie Bauer (25:57.00), junior Lauren Jackson (26:48.90), and freshman Katie Smith (27:34.00).
The Muskie women finished in 27th place out of 31 teams with a score of 809.
