Minner named Academic All-OAC

NEW CONCORD, OHIO, May 8, 2006 - The Ohio Athletic Conference has announced that Muskingum College senior wrestler Richie Minner has been named Honorable Mention Academic All-OAC.

Minner, a middle childhood education major, carries a 3.45 grade-point-average. He was named Academic All-American in 2005 and ended his Black & Magenta career with 74 wins.

Minner was also honored with the OAC Clyde Lamb Award. Criteria for the award include at least two years participation in an OAC-sponsored sport, senior status, a minimum grade point average of 3.00 and sportsmanlike conduct in a manner that has brought credit to the student-athlete and his or her institution.

Under the direction of Head Coach Phil Witker, the Muskies ended the season 9-11 overall and 2-4 in conference action.
