McKenzie, Neal and Biblis garner Academic All-OAC honors
NEW CONCORD, OHIO, November 18, 2008 -
The Ohio Athletic Conference has announced that Muskingum College seniors Jessica McKenzie and Erin Neal have been named Academic All-OAC for volleyball, while junior Nicole Biblis was named Academic Honorable Mention.
McKenzie, a intervention specialist major, carries a 3.70 grade-point-average. She ended the year with 172 blocks which ranks fifth all-time for blocks in a single season at Muskingum. McKenzie led the team in hitting percentage (.360) and kills (300).
Neal, an English education major, sports a 3.51 grade-point-average. She saw action in 19 matches this season and recorded 88 digs and five service aces. This marks the third time that Neal has been honored with Academic All-OAC accolades (2006, 2007, 2008).
Biblis, a speech communication major, carries a 3.40 grade-point-average. She led the team with 650 digs, which ranks fourth for a single season at Muskingum. Additionally, Biblis has 1,488 career digs, placing her third on the all-time career digs list at Muskingum.
Muskingum, under the guidance of Head Coach Elizabeth Zicha, ended its stellar season at 23-7 overall and were the eighth team in Muskie history to advance to the NCAA Division III National Tournament.
