Bailey sets school mark en route to being named OAC Indoor Field Athlete of the Week

NEW CONCORD, OHIO, March 2, 2009 - The Ohio Athletic Conference has announced that Muskingum College sophomore Demetrius Bailey has been named the OAC Indoor Field Athlete of the Week.

Bailey led the Muskie men at the Otterbein College Qualifier with first place finishes in both the triple jump and long jump. His 46-10.75 (14.29 meters) leap in the triple jump set a new school record. He followed that mark up with long jump of 20.07.00 (6.27 meters).

This marks the fifth time in Bailey's career that he has earned the honor of OAC Field Athlete of the Week.
