Jones, Smith and Ardman named captains for 2013 season

NEW CONCORD, OHIO, May 16, 2013 - Muskingum University head football coach Al Logan has announced the selection of captains for the 2013 season. Senior defensive back Darell Jones, senior defensive back Hank Smith and senior offensive lineman Denny Ardman will lead the Muskies during their fall campaign.

Jones notched 33 tackles with four interceptions for 61 yards in 2012. He also added 10 pass break-ups in 10 games of action

Smith helped anchor the secondary with 27 stops and one interception. He also recorded three pass break-ups.

Ardman, a two-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference honoree and Second Team All-Ohio award winner, will enter his second season as a captain for the Muskies. Ardman's play last season helped the Muskies average 130.3 yards rushing per game and average 285.2 yards of total offense per game.

Muskingum opens the 2013 campaign at Waynesburg University on Saturday, September 7. Game time is slated for 1:30 p.m. and will be broadcast live on the Muskie Sports Network.
