Ladd, Antolak and Ardman named captains for 2012 season

NEW CONCORD, OHIO, May 17, 2012 - Muskingum University head football coach Al Logan has announced the selection of captains for the 2012 season. Senior linebacker Logan Ladd, senior defensive lineman Jacob Antolak and junior offensive lineman Denny Ardman will lead the Muskies during their fall campaign.

Ladd played a key role in Muskingum's nationally-ranked defense in the 2011 season. He ended the year with 36 tackles, four tackles for loss, one sack, two fumble recoveries and one forced fumble.

Antolak helped control the line of scrimmage and ended the year with 30 stops, 1.5 tackles for loss and 0.5 sacks.

Ardman, a Second Team All-Ohio Athletic Conference selection, was the anchor of the Muskie offensive line. He helped the Muskies average 115 yards rushing per game and average 292.9 yards of total offense per game

The Muskies are led by Head Coach Al Logan - the 2009 Ohio Athletic Conference Football Coach of the Year. Logan, a 1982 Muskingum graduate and a former Muskingum All-American and member of the Muskingum Athletic Hall of Fame, has rewritten Muskingum’s offensive records with his spread-option offense in his first five years at the helm of the program. The Muskies have set new school marks for most passing attempts in a season, most touchdown passes in a season, most passing yards in a season, most pass completions in a season, most first downs passing in a season, most passing attempts for a game and best average passing yards per game.

Muskingum opens up the 2012 season at home in McConagha Stadium against Waynesburg University on Saturday, September 1 at 1:00 p.m.
