Junker named OAC Football Defensive Player of the Week

NEW CONCORD, OHIO, October 31, 2006 - The Ohio Athletic Conference has named Muskingum College senior linebacker Jack Junker OAC Football Defensive Player of the Week.

Junker put on an amazing defensive display for the crowd at Memorial Stadium against Otterbein College with a career-high 22 tackle performance. The 6-foot-1, 220-pound Parma Heights native also recorded 2.5 tackles for loss, forced one fumble, recovered one fumble and notched an assisted sack. For the year, Junker has a team-high 69 stops.

Muskingum continues its trek through the OAC when it travels to nationally-ranked Capital University on Saturday, November 4. Game time is slated for 1:30 p.m.
