Kume and Bettinazzi named Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference
NEW CONCORD, OHIO, November 29, 2005 - The Ohio Athletic Conference has announced that Muskingum College senior defensive lineman Justin Kume and senior tight end Vince Bettinazzi have been selected to the Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference football team.
Kume, an honorable mention selection, started all 10 games on the defensive line and recorded a career-high 29 tackles, including 8.5 tackles for loss and one sack. He also forced one fumble and blocked one kick. Off the field he holds a 3.34 grade-point-average and majors in political science and public affairs.
Bettinazzi, an honorable mention selection, saw action in all 10 games for the Muskies. Bettinazzi helped block for an offense that averaged 191 yards rushing per game, third best in the OAC. He carries a 3.25 grade-point-average in health education.
