McKenzie earns OAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week honors for the fourth time
NEW CONCORD, OHIO, February 19, 2007 - For the fourth time this season, Muskingum College sophomore post Jessica McKenzie was honored for her dominating play on the court by being named Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week.
McKenzie shot .690 from the field and averaged a double-double for the week with 29.0 points per game and 11 rebounds per outing. She scored a career-high 33 points against Ohio Northern University and made a career-high nine free throws against the Polar Bears. Additionally, she dropped 25 points on Heidelberg College and grabbed 11 rebounds to help lead the Muskies to a 2-0 week of play and into the OAC Tournament.
For the season, McKenzie leads the OAC in scoring (18.8 ppg) and field goal percentage (.585) and is third in rebounding (8.2 rpg).
