McKenzie named OAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week

NEW CONCORD, OHIO, December 12, 2006 - The Ohio Athletic Conference has announced that Muskingum College sophomore post Jessica McKenzie was named OAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week.

McKenzie continued her dominating play for the Black & Magenta by averaging 30.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per game during the Muskies' two games last week. She dropped a career-high 31 points on John Carroll University and tallied 30 points against Otterbein College. McKenzie connected on 25-of-40 (.625) from the floor and averaged 37 minutes per outing.

For the season, Mckenzie leads the OAC in scoring (21.0 ppg) and field goal percentage (.616) and is second in rebounding (9.3 rpg).
