Guinsler named Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference

NEW CONCORD, OHIO, March 14, 2007 - Muskingum College senior guard Elizabeth Guinsler was honored for her excellence in the classroom and on the court by being named to the Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Basketball team.

Guinsler, a business and speech communication major, carries a 3.89 grade-point-average. Guinsler started 25 games as a senior and led the team in three-point shooting percentage (.439). She was the third leading scorer (9.3 ppg) for the Muskies and averaged 3.4 rebounds per outing and recorded 19 steals.

Guinsler helped lead Muskingum's turnaround season that ended with five more conference and five more overall wins from the 2005-06 season and a trip to the OAC Tournament Quarterfinals.
