Toronto Blue Jays strength & conditioning coach talks to Muskingum students

NEW CONCORD, OHIO, October 4, 2006 - Muskingum College students and coaches were treated to a guest lecture by Toronto Blue Jays strength & conditioning coach Donovan Santas on Wednesday.

Santas spoke to the Muskingum Sports Medicine class about the science behind the fitness and strength training of the elite athlete. Santas talked about his experiences in professional baseball and ended with a question and answer session. Later, he took the Muskingum baseball team through various strength and conditioning exercises.

Santas has been the strength & conditioning coach with the Blue Jays since January 2003. He graduated in 2000 from the University of Wisconsin La Crosse with a B.S. in Exercise and Sports Science, majoring in Strength and Conditioning with a minor in Business Administration.
