The mission of the Criminal Justice Program is to prepare well-rounded, ethical keepers of the justice system who are capable of analyzing problems, posing solutions, and critically evaluating policies and programs integral to the criminal justice system. Formulated within a solid liberal arts framework, the Criminal Justice Program provides students with the perspective necessary to further their education or to begin a rewarding career.

The Criminal Justice Program mission supports that of Muskingum University by providing a quality academic program in the liberal arts that seeks to develop intellectually and socially whole persons who are capable of critical thinking, positive action, and ethical sensitivity so they may lead vocationally productive, personally satisfying, and socially responsible lives.
