About the Science Division
Welcome to the Muskingum University
Science Division!
All of Muskingum University's science majors and programs are designed to educate the whole person. Our committed faculty strive to give students critical thinking skills and breadth of knowledge as well as scientific knowledge.
The emphasis on student research enables Muskingum's science students to apply scientific processes to everyday life experiences, preparing them for success in the areas of business, education, industry, and research. Muskingum University's long-term working relationships with our area's local facilities and businesses creates unique opportunities for students in the sciences. Our students have done research and internships at The Wilds, one of the largest wildlife conservation centers in the world located on 10,000 acres here in southeast Ohio. Colgate-Palmolive, Metallurg Vanadium, and Resource Systems also offer our students interships opportunities.
The Science Division is pleased to welcome two new programs: Engineering Science and Nursing. Muskingum offers a four-year Engineering Science program that draws on the University's commitment to liberal arts as well as it's national reputation for excellence in science. Our four-year bachelor of science Nursing program combines the liberal arts with a structured nursing curriculum to build a comprehensive BSN experience. |
