Pittner named to the D3kicks.com National Team of the Week

NEW CONCORD, OHIO, October 4, 2006 - The Muskingum College women's soccer team made history on Wednesday when junior midfielder/forward Elizabeth Pittner was named to the D3kicks.com National Team of the Week. It marked the first time in Muskingum soccer history that a player has earned National Team of Week honors.

Pittner, the current Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Week, tied the Muskingum record for goals in a game with her first career hat trick in the Muskies' 4-3 overtime win over Heidelberg College. Pittner scored in the 15th and 33rd minutes and added the game-winning strike in the 92nd minute on a direct kick from the top of the box.

For the season, the junior captain has four goals and one assist for nine points.
