Davis named OAC Football Defensive Player of the Week

NEW CONCORD, OHIO, November 5, 2012 - The Ohio Athletic Conference has announced that Muskingum University senior defensive back Stephen Davis was named the OAC Football Defensive Player of the Week.

Davis helped lead Muskingum to a thrilling 13-6 Senior Day overtime win against Capital University in McConagha Stadium on Saturday. He returned an interception 26 yards for a touchdown early in the fourth quarter to give the Muskies their first lead of the contest. The interception return for a score was the second of the year for Davis. He also notched a 38-yard interception return early in the third quarter that halted a Capital scoring drive.

On the year, Davis leads the league in passes defended and ranks third in interceptions with four.
