Hedge, Nash, Murray and McInturff named captains for 2007
NEW CONCORD, OHIO, April 25, 2007 - Muskingum College Football Head Coach Al Logan has announced that current junior Nathan Hedge, sophomore Andre Nash, sophomore Jack Murray and junior Josh McInturff were named captains for the 2007 season.
Hedge, a 6-foot-4, 225-pound defensive end, logged 42 tackles last season including 5.5 stops for loss en route to being named Honorable Mention All-Ohio Athletic Conference. He led the team with two blocked kicks and forced one fumble and recovered one, while recording an assisted sack.
Nash, a 5-foot-10, 200-pound quarterback, led the Muskies last year in total offense per game averaging 97.5 yards per outing. Nash threw for 807 yards and seven touchdowns and rushed for 168 yards and three scores. He led the Fish with 10 touchdowns on the year.
Murray, a 6-foot, 185-pound wide receiver, garnered Honorable Mention All-Ohio Athletic Conference accolades in 2006. Murray logged a team-high 36 receptions for 426 yards and four touchdowns. He averaged 42.6 yards per game receiving and led the Fish averaging 10.6 yards per punt return.
McInturff, a 5-foot-11, 245-pound defensive lineman, tallied 27 stops on the year and recorded a team-high nine tackles for loss. He was tied for the team lead with four sacks and forced one fumble.
Muskingum opens the 2007 season at Waynesburg College on Saturday, September 1, at 1:00 p.m.
