| Major Areas of Study: HUMANITIES

Would you be interested to explore the history of racism or anti-Semitism in culture? Would you like to know how an idea (say, the existence of God) has influenced art, society, and government? Have you ever considered the place of women in history and how that affected their portrayal in literature? If you have interest in these or similar topics, then Muskingum’s self-designed humanities major may be for you. To select this major and build a program of study puts you in a small group of self-starters with a broad range of interests. An interdisciplinary major in humanities may be designed about a unique theme or meaningful cluster of courses in the arts and humanities division (see Related Areas of Study).
