The American Studies major fosters the interdisciplinary study of the values, beliefs, cultures and social systems of the United States.  The curriculum integrates a variety of methods and disciplines to help students evaluate and interpret American society.  The program’s intent supports the University’s mission to promote critical thinking and ethical sensitivity.
